When switching room numbers and/or room type, have the system prompt an option to "overide rate change". This will allow clerks to make room changes for guests with promo rates and/ or who have booked prior to rate increases, without being forced to change the rate and have to return to the guest info screen to override the rate again.
This is a fantastic idea, I see so many adjustments every day because the thing will automatically change the rate to whatever it wants with just that small warning which you have no choice to agree to if you want the change to take place.
I have discovered the best way to avoid this from happening is by using the RATE PLAN and not just changing the rate and leaving the RATE PLAN at RAC. If you leave the RATE PLAN at RAC and manually change your rate then it will auto change back to RAC when changes are made. If you select S3A for example, then whatever changes you make, the rate will always be S3A. However this is not always possible as maybe the guest is getting a special rate that is not one of the RATE PLANS, so thats when I agree with the enhanced function.
